We love the Bath!

Marc's new toy...

Actually we've had it for a while, I'm just barely getting to the post. Riding a motorcycle is the easiest, cheapest way for Marc to get around Post so that's what we decided to get instead of a second car. The kids love it! Every time Gretta sees it she says, "(gasp) Motorcycle!! Wow, so tute! (cute)".

Happy Birthday!!

Our little guy turned one this week! I can't believe he's already that old! We had such a fun day! Marc was lucky enough to have the morning off so we got to spend the morning together! It was great! We got Liam some presents but only gave him one since we are having another big, friend party on Saturday and thought we'd give him the rest then. But the one that he got, he loved but not as much as Gretta! We spend the rest of the day trying to help her understand that it was Liam's birthday and Liam's new toy. :) After Marc got home that evening we went to Arby's for dinner, (it's only 20 minutes away) and there Liam got to try out his first roast beef sandwich! He ate it up! He loved it! It's so fun to see him feed himself anything I put on his tray. My kids are both such good eaters! Then we came back home to give Liam a chocolate cupcake! He didn't really know what to do with it. He played with the frosting a while and ate some, but surprisingly, he didn't really want it! It was late and they were ready for bed, but he had about 2 bites and was done. We love this little guy. He is an absolute sweetheart. He gives the tightest hugs and folds his arms for the prayer, he waves hi and bye to anyone and constantly giggles at his sister. We're so grateful to have him in our family! We love you, Liam!

Easter!!

A week before Easter, our neighborhood community center had a big Easter party! The kids got a picture with the Easter Bunny. It was so great! I am so happy we actually got one with no tears from either kid! We had such a fun Easter! On Saturday before Easter, we colored eggs. Gretta absolutely loved it. Liam was napping and he missed the whole thing, which was fine, cause he wouldn't have colored eggs anyway. Gretta colored her own 2 eggs. She dropped one but the other one turned out great! She was so happy. She lately is really into choosing colors of crayons or playdoh so she really wanted a pink egg. It's fun to see her grow up and be able to choose the color she wants or the clothes she wants to wear that day. Anyway, the only problem was she didn't want to wait so long with her egg in the dye. She got bored pretty fast. Liam unfortunately took a bad tumble and hurt his nose, but he ended up being alright and we enjoyed a really fun BBQ at the park with all of our friends that night!

On Sunday, the kids wore their new Easter outfits. They were so cute. I couldn't get a very good picture of them together. Then, we went to church, came home and ate lunch and we put the kids down and then the Easter bunny came! Gretta was so excited to wake up from her nap after the Easter Bunny came. She couldn't believe all the treats he left!! That's how the Easter Bunny does it at our house! And then, it's a raceto see who can pick up the most candy, one at a time! Gretta loved it. Liam got in on the action too. Too fast for mom, I couldn't even get the wrapper off. We had a wonderful day. Marc gave a really great FHE about Jesus Christ and the resurrection. We love our Dad. I hope everyone had a great Easter too!

We were lucky enough to get a plot in the community garden here. Our Garden Plot before...After!!! Our furrows!!! Marc did such an amazing job building our garden!

Our Gretta's Birthday

I can't believe that Gretta is 2 years old. A week ago, Gretta had a birthday! And the Saturday before we had all of Gretta's friends over for a little party! It was a duck themed party and we all had a blast! I'm going to let pictures do most of the explaining except the cake!! Marc and I made a fun cake for Gretta. Marc molded a duck out of rice crispy treats and then we covered it with home made fondant that I made. It's not cake challenge on the food network but we were really proud of it and had so much fun making it!

Thanks to everyone for coming and making Gretta's birthday so fun!! I love you, my Gretta Rae. I can't believe you're 2.

Where have we been?

First of all, I am still going to be a private blog, but I've been having problems with people not being invited even though I have invited them... so I'll get it worked out but in the meantime, not private. :)
Our lives have been crazy lately. The biggest news is that we've moved to Alabama. Yep, we're down here in southern Alabama, home of the wild turkeys! Not really but, seriously, a couple mornings ago as I was out in my back yard watering plants there was a wild turkey just walking around and strutting and gobble-gobble-ing. It was crazy. I also hear there are tonz of armadillos and possoms although, I've yet to see any. Any body of water you see, most likely has alligators...I'm not finding that out. But all-in-all our first month here has been great!
I'm gardening a lot which is something I've always wanted to do and since today's high is 75 it's been perfect weather for it! I actually have little green plants coming up which is so exciting!! It's so fulfilling and exciting to see little plants grow after you work so hard to plant them! I'm loving it.
My kids are great! They are learning and growing each day. Gretta's talking up a storm now and Liam is on the verge of becoming mobile! They love each other and I often times go into their room and see them just making each other laugh. It is so much fun!
Marc's been semi-busy which is nice because he has had some time off to spend with us. I've loved loved LOVED having him around so much this last month. It's so hard to say goodbye in the morning now that I've been so spoiled.
My ward is awesome. I've loved getting to know the women down here. A lot of them are from Utah and a lot are married to men who are in Marc's unit so that's fun. But there have been others that I've met that have been my instant best friends which I'm grateful for since this is the first time I've lived more than 45 minutes from home. I get bouts of homesickness but over all I'm really happy here.
